Dear Maintainer,
*** Please consider answering these questions, where appropriate ***
* What led up to the situation?
I was trying to fix Firefox's inability of handling Korean input.
* What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
ineffective)?
Used im-config to test different IME program that supports Korean/English
input.
* What was the outcome of this action?
im-config setting doesn't affect IME program during Xorg start up.
run_im script or program that is used .inputrc file doesn't exit.
Here is the file generated by im_config.
$ more .xinputrc
# im-config(8) generated on Sun, 26 Jan 2014 17:17:18 +0900
run_im hangul
# im-config signiture: 3eb57ed1eefcf37000ecb83f8c75337e -
What matter worse is hangul solution for Korean Input is useless at least
for Colemak users like me. The suggested Korean Input packages are: nabi,
imhangul-gtk2, imhangul-gtk3. im-hangul-status-applet is not in Debian
package list.
nabi supposedly handle Colemak and Sebul Final keyboard layout but it turns
out it fails to input Korean character. I have tried to set up nabi
manually but again leaded to the dead end.
* What outcome did you expect instead?

There is rule for using severity and l10n tag. Please do not put random
tag if you do not know. At best this is normal bug.

What? This makes no sense to me.

What about other tools such as gedit, gnome-terminal, ... can you use
them?

OK, ... did you read all the message? (restarting desktop etc. If you
are using systemd, maybe reboot after reconfig.)

How...

What, please prove me.

Can't you find in /usr/share/im-config/data/ these 2 files?
50_hangul.conf
50_hangul.rc
That is for "hangul" So your claim is wrong.

OK relax please... I do not use Korean. So you have to tell me much
more in detail. What is "Colemak"? I have no idea.

Hmmm. I see you have user configuration problem. Please do not blame
everything on im-config. If you think default choice of tool for Korean
is bad one, please get few other Korean DD to support your view. I will
listen to thak kind of request.
> * What outcome did you expect instead?
Anyway, please read all ther doicumentation in /usr/share/doc/im-config
After reading this all and looking at excssive severity usage, I am
sorry but I have to tell you that I am closing this bug report since it
serves nothing to improve package as you reported. Please seek user
support in Korean ML elsewhere.
Also, is your mail address a valid one? It is an odd name. I am
forwarding to the envelope address to.
