Right, I should have seen that. And I've seen those problems with visibility hidding before. There are your bug report #330279 and #331460, but there is also mine: #324290 Then there are still things like #307207. And upstream said they weren't going to fix those bugs in 4.0, since it's not a regression from previous version (that didn't support visibility attributes).
