That's not related to the old conflicts I removed, rather it's a cock-up in debian/rules - DEBIAN_WX_DEFAULT_VERSION shouldn't be set, rather than being set to 2.8. > Could you fix the package so that it can be synced in Ubuntu without > changes? I think it makes most sense to fix this in Debian with a new upload of 2.8 dropping wx-common from there, as we need to switch over wx-common to being built by wxwidgets3.0 at some point, so let's just get that done now. You may still end up carrying some changes related to Unity (see the differences between wxwidgets2.8 in Debian and Ubuntu).
