Package: subtitleeditor
Version: 0.33.0-1
Justification: renders package unusable
Severity: grave

Dear Maintainer,
I was using subtitleeditor when it crashed and this has been going for
past few days. Today I had some time hence tried debugging it and it
crashed there too.

I'm not too much into debugging so might be naive so if there's
anything more I can do please don't hesitate to tell.

I used https://wiki.debian.org/HowToGetABacktrace to do the debugging.

These are the things I did before the gdb log comes into action.

$ gdb subtitleeditor

Reading symbols from /usr/bin/subtitleeditor...(no debugging symbols
found)...done.
(gdb) set pagination 0
(gdb) set logging on
Copying output to gdb.txt.
(gdb) break gdk_x_error
Function "gdk_x_error" not defined.
Make breakpoint pending on future shared library load? (y or [n]) y
Breakpoint 1 (gdk_x_error) pending.
(gdb) run --sync

As can be seen I have added the bits after logging as well so as to be
complete. The rest is in gdb.txt.gz
