Howdy perl group!
That's because of a unicode character in a proper name. I tried adding a "=encoding utf8" line and it solved the problem. Patch coming. This only seems to happen in the latest versions because I had to run "pbuilder update" in order to reproduce the bug. Did pod2man get more severe lately?

Note that on my system, the resulting man page has accents flattened, that is to say ö becomes oe and ù becomes u.
