Sorry, I missed this email of yours. I'll would try to do this but since the laptop is locked in most cases through xautolock, meaning I simply did not use it for a few minutes, it will take a while to have an encounter with a hanged vlock. But: Since we now know that vlock does not hang with at least 2 secs of sleeping but hangs with 1 second and even one time with 1.5 secs, isn't it safe to say that the problem is in the "new" module? Anyway I can try to do it from the console.
