Sorry again, I see in your config that you used "create" without
specifying a mode or owner or group;  in which case it should have
worked.  It was possible in 3.8.1 to give all of mode, user, group, or
none of them.  (The documentation is still vague/misleading though).


What may be helpful is if you run logrotate manually in verbose mode and
look for output relevant to the mail log files:

(as root)
# /usr/sbin/logrotate -v -f /etc/logrotate.conf

And then show what has changed with `ls -l`
