python-distuils-extra 2.38-1 was uploaded yesterday and changes the behavior of build_help.py. http://packages.qa.debian.org/p/python-distutils-extra/news/20130722T160301Z.html This causes update-manager to fail to build. dh_install -pupdate-manager-gnome cp: cannot stat './debian/tmp/usr/share/gnome': No such file or directory dh_install: cp -a ./debian/tmp/usr/share/gnome debian/update-manager-gnome//usr/share/ returned exit code 1 make: *** [binary-install/update-manager-gnome] Error 2 dpkg-buildpackage: error: fakeroot debian/rules binary gave error exit status 2 I'm attaching a debdiff to not even bother installing the help since it's not linked to from the UI anyway.
