Hi, I've seen that the patch which jmm pointed at applies cleanly to the current package in Sid. Any reason why you are holding the fix?
If you don't fix it "soon" (that is, in the next coming days), I will NMU the fix using upstream patch, and upload to the delayed/7 queue. Also, do you know if Wheezy is affected?
