Patched libldap from Carlos Alberto Lopez Perez worked like a charm, thanks! Thats what by common-auth looks like ---- auth [success=2 default=ignore] pam_unix.so nullok_secure auth [success=1 default=ignore] pam_ldap.so minimum_uid=1000 use_first_pass auth requisite pam_deny.so auth required pam_permit.so auth optional pam_smbpass.so migrate ---- $dpkg --get-selections | grep libnss libnss-ldapd:amd64 install Please take care this is getting fixed in future debian releases.
