Package: brasero Version: 3.8.0-1 Severity: serious Tags: lfs Justification: unknoen
Dear Maintainer, Brasero wrongly calculates file size for burning. At least it is in case of big files (>4GB). I've tried to burn file of a size: 4508876000 B, which is ~4.2GB. Unfortunately according to brasero it has size of 4.5GB. This results in brasero not wanting to burn such file into standard dvd. This make brasero unusable in such a case. I believe the bug is a result of simple error in computing file size - division by 1000^3 instead of by 1024^3. I've check another brasero instance, version 2.32.1 in FreeBSD, which calculates the same file size as 4.2 GB and does not complain about files size preventing burning. -- System Information: Debian Release: jessie/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 3.2.0-4-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=pl_PL.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=pl_PL.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages brasero depends on: ii brasero-common 3.8.0-1 ii gnome-icon-theme 3.8.2-2 ii gstreamer1.0-plugins-base 1.0.7-1 ii gvfs 1.12.3-4 ii libatk1.0-0 2.8.0-2 ii libbrasero-media3-1 3.8.0-1 ii libc6 2.17-3 ii libcairo-gobject2 1.12.14-4 ii libcairo2 1.12.14-4 ii libgdk-pixbuf2.0-0 2.28.2-1 ii libglib2.0-0 2.36.1-2build1 ii libgstreamer-plugins-base1.0-0 1.0.7-1 ii libgstreamer1.0-0 1.0.7-1 ii libgtk-3-0 3.4.2-6 ii libice6 2:1.0.8-2 ii libnautilus-extension1a 3.4.2-1+build1 ii libpango-1.0-0 1.32.5-5+b1 ii libpangocairo-1.0-0 1.32.5-5+b1 ii libsm6 2:1.2.1-2 ii libtotem-plparser17 3.4.5-1 ii libtracker-sparql-0.14-0 0.14.1-3 ii libxml2 2.8.0+dfsg1-7+nmu1 Versions of packages brasero recommends: ii yelp 3.8.1-2 Versions of packages brasero suggests: ii libdvdcss2 1.2.13-dmo1 pn tracker <none> pn vcdimager <none> -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-rc-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
