There were couple of ftbfs reported on ctpp2 current version in unstable and has been fixed (for a while now) and lies in repo. I tried building the new version again on cowbuilder clean chroot and couldn't find any problems there, so I think new upload should fix this issue hence tagging the bug as pending and waiting for Jonas (or any DD) to upload the fix. Also its not the problem of not find .la file build failed due to problems in symbol file. Thanks for reporting the problem.
