Package: tircd Version: 0.21.2-2 Severity: grave Tags: patch upstream Justification: renders package unusable
Dear Maintainer, Since Twitter removed the 1.0 API on June 11th, tircd is no longer useful. The daemon receives connections but the user only gets errors. Fortunately, a patch is available. Although not from official upstream, somebody already made it work again and pushed it to his personal repo. The patch is at the upstream bug report at * https://code.google.com/p/tircd/issues/detail?id=106#c7 I can confirm the patch works. There is no official release yet with the changes. -- System Information: Debian Release: jessie/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 3.9-1-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.utf8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages tircd depends on: ii adduser 3.113+nmu3 ii libhtml-parser-perl 3.71-1 ii libjson-any-perl 1.28-1 ii libnet-twitter-lite-perl 0.12002-3 ii libpoe-filter-ircd-perl 2.42-1 ii libpoe-perl 2:1.3540-1 ii liburi-perl 1.60-1 ii libwww-perl 6.04-1 tircd suggests no packages. -- Configuration Files: /etc/default/tircd changed [not included] /etc/tircd.cfg changed [not included] -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-rc-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
