I have suggested to upstream that this is a bug in the handling of
--no-detach, and also mentioned a possible solution. For now I have
prepared a new debian package that disables this test.

These are also addressed in the new package. As those are the only
changes, anyone should feel free to sponsor the upload currently
waiting here:

http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/d/distcc/distcc_3.2~rc1-2.dsc

Package is tested locally with sbuild and parallel builds, and should
also be sufficient to build on hurd. I can not determine if there
will be further architecture-specific failures.
