Ah, thanks - I wasn't aware that libsnmp15 was being deprecated. That makes sense.

particularly for packages involved in a transition.

Sure. A certain amount of package breakage is inevitable when tracking unstable. It just looked to me as if the fix on this bug was designed to prevent this particular dependency issue. Clearly not :-)
