I'm not entirely sure.
I think that the libverto update addressed some issues with respect to
dladdr() dependencies which made building difficult on exotic platforms,
but it also added some new functionality. I'm not sure whether consumers
of that functionality are in the tree yet, I know of one that is
out-of-tree which is a KDC plugin.
