This means that the source file is somehow corrupt. I can't reproduce it no matter how I try. Can you please show the content of that file -- src/acpi.c -- when it generates these errors? Note that the package does not apply any patches and does not modify upstream source in any way, except of adding debian/ subdirectory with the usual stuff. Something wrong goes on here, and I suspect it's not the package at fault...
