When trying, I get: The following packages have unmet dependencies: mythvideo: Depends: libqt3c102-mt (>= 3:3.3.4) but it is not installable E: Broken packages I tried manually installing libqt3c102-mt: Package libqt3c102-mt is not available, but is referred to by another package. This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or is only available from another source However the following packages replace it: libqt3-mt E: Package libqt3c102-mt has no installation candidate The same goes for several other of the mythtv components, except for the "basic" mythtv system, and mythgallery. The ones I've tried to install and failed are: mythmusic, mythvideo, mythdvd, mythbrowser, mythnews. Other packages might also be problematic. There seems to be some kind of confusion regarding the libqt3 package. My guess is that libqt3c102-mt has been replaced with libqt3-mt, but only a few of the MythTV packages has been updated to reflect this change. mythtv-frontend, for instance, requires libqt3-mt (>= 3:3.3.4) instead of libqt3c102-mt. On the other hand, I'm no apt expert, so it might be some kind of plain stupid user error on my part. I apologize if that is so. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers testing APT policy: (650, 'testing'), (600, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.12-1-686 Locale: LANG=en_US, LC_CTYPE=en_US (charmap=ISO-8859-1) --------------------------------------- Received: (at 337481-done) by bugs.debian.org; 11 Nov 2005 20:31:41 +0000 >From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Fri Nov 11 12:31:41 2005 Return-path: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Received: from sorrow.cyrius.com ([65.19.161.204]) by spohr.debian.org with esmtp (Exim 4.50) id 1EafYj-0000AN-3G for [EMAIL PROTECTED]; Fri, 11 Nov 2005 12:31:41 -0800 Received: by sorrow.cyrius.com (Postfix, from userid 10) id E403B64D54; Fri, 11 Nov 2005 20:31:40 +0000 (UTC) Received: by deprecation.cyrius.com (Postfix, from userid 1000) id 40C2686FB; Fri, 11 Nov 2005 20:31:31 +0000 (GMT) Date: Fri, 11 Nov 2005 20:31:31 +0000 From: Martin Michlmayr <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: Magnus Ihse <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: Bug#337481: mythvideo: uninstallable -- depens on unavailable package libqt3c102-mt Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> References: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Disposition: inline In-Reply-To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> User-Agent: Mutt/1.5.11 X-Spam-Checker-Version: SpamAssassin 2.60-bugs.debian.org_2005_01_02 (1.212-2003-09-23-exp) on spohr.debian.org X-Spam-Level: X-Spam-Status: No, hits=-6.0 required=4.0 tests=BAYES_00,HAS_BUG_NUMBER autolearn=no version=2.60-bugs.debian.org_2005_01_02 * Martin Michlmayr <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> [2005-11-04 20:59]: > > Package: mythvideo > > There's no such package in Debian, so you'll have to talk to the > person who prepared this package.
