And for some strange reason, the user doesn't even have permission to *read* from his home directory (which I would consider a misconfigured buildd). If the directory simply didn't exist, there would be no problem. Anyways, gnustep-make probably shouldn't be trying to include the Headers (or Libraries, or etc.) from the user domain when it's run under dpkg-buildpackage, since I think we want a (relatively) clean build environment.
