Package: libdb4.8
Version: 4.8.30-2
Severity: serious
the libpam-modules package depends on libdb4.8.
libpam-modules is Priority: required while libdb4.8 is Priority standard.
Debian Policy says "Packages must not depend on packages with lower
priority values (excluding build-time dependencies).

Hi,
Thank you for reporting this bug against Debian. I am closing this and
marking it as fixed in version 4.8.30-12, because the given binary is no
longer built in that version.
The bug remains open against the stable version of db4.8 for now. That
said, we generally do not change the priority of packages in stable
releases unless there is a pragmatic reason to do so. If this bug is
only filed because of the Policy requirement, then we will ignore it for
Squeeze release.
On the other hand, if this incorrect priority causes real issues,
please do let us know.
~Niels
