Package: appstream-index Version: 0.2.0-1 Severity: serious Dear Maintainer,
a dist-upgrade started approx. 12 hours ago still hangs with this being the last output: […] Setting up powerstat (0.01.21-1) ... Setting up appstream-index (0.2.0-1) ... Triggered app-info cache rebuild. [no further output, no shell prompt] This is reproducible at every apt run since apt has been trying to upgrade to 0.2.0-1, because I had to abort the installation with Ctrl-C and it tries to configure appstream-index at the next occassion again. Attaching to the "appstream-index --refresh --nowait" with strace just shows: # strace -p 28439 Process 28439 attached - interrupt to quit restart_syscall(<... resuming interrupted call ...> [no further output, no shell prompt] (For me, this issue looks different than http://bugs.debian.org/703513 and causes other upgraded package to not finish being set up, hence the RC severity.) -- System Information: Debian Release: 7.0 APT prefers unstable APT policy: (990, 'unstable'), (600, 'testing'), (400, 'stable'), (110, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 3.5-trunk-amd64 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages appstream-index depends on: ii libappstream0 0.2.0-1 ii libc6 2.13-38 ii libglib2.0-0 2.33.12+really2.32.4-5 ii libpolkit-gobject-1-0 0.105-3 ii libxapian22 1.2.12-2 ii libxml2 2.8.0+dfsg1-7+nmu1 Versions of packages appstream-index recommends: pn app-install-data <none> Versions of packages appstream-index suggests: pn packagekit <none> -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-rc-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
