Wait - this is an Ubuntu version of the package - can you test this
again in Debian? I would be very surprised if automake fails to build in
Debian as this point, as we are in a freeze and automake hasn't been
changed since july 2012.
So if Debian is really affected by this, please reply by stating which
version is affected, using a syntax similar to the one I used above (but
with "found").
Otherwise, if Ubuntu only is affected, please report the bug in:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/automake1.11
