I looked into the code now. lib/IO/Async/Loop/Glib.pm and especially loop_once() (lines 295 ff.) seem to be the relevant parts. After adding some prints, my impression is that the Glib::Timeout just does nothing, at least it doesn't wait for 2 seconds (so maybe this is a problem in libglib-perl?). FWIW: Adding a second iterate() later changes the behaviour ... Building against the newer libglib-perl from experimental (3:1.280-1) leads to the same test failure. Cheers, gregor -- .''`.
