The copyright file also states: "License: Dual GPLv2/ACPICA Licence" On the website (https://www.acpica.org/downloads/index.php), the current version of the code can be downloaded in 2 variants: under the ACPICA license, or under the GPLv2. For older versions, both variants are also available (by manually changing the download URL), starting from version 20110112. I wasn't able to find such a variant for the version currently in Debian (20100528). I don't know if it was dual licensed as well. There was a discussion about the license on the mailing list in June 2010: http://lists.acpica.org/pipermail/devel/2010-June/000145.html The FAQ (https://acpica.org/documentation/faq.php) states: "Under what licensing is the ACPICA source released? ACPICA can be licensed under the GNU General Public License or via a separate license that may be more favorable to commercial OSVs. Please see the source code license header for specifics." So if a new version was uploaded to Debian, it would suffice to download the tarball which refers to the GPL (instead of the one that refers to the ACPICA license). I don't know what the options are for version 20100528. Cheers, Ivo -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-rc-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
