I discovered many reports about similar problems using a search engine http://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?f=47&t=103522 suggests adding --interactive, e.g.: $ gnome-screenshot -d 2 -w --interactive That seems to work, it still gives the error, but now I do see the save dialog again However, - I now get hassled by another popup, asking me to confirm the other command line settings - it is not clear whether this is a deliberate change in behavior, or just some side effect of using --interactive -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-rc-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
