Version: 2.9.0-2
Severity: serious

Hi,

during a test with piuparts I noticed your package installs files over
an existing symlink, overwriting files from another package in a way
that is not detected by dpkg:

0m54.6s INFO: dirname part contains a symlink:
  /usr/share/doc/fuse-utils/changelog.Debian.gz !=
/usr/share/doc/libfuse2/changelog.Debian.gz (fuse-utils)
  /usr/share/doc/fuse-utils/changelog.gz !=
/usr/share/doc/libfuse2/changelog.gz (fuse-utils)
  /usr/share/doc/fuse-utils/copyright != /usr/share/doc/libfuse2/copyright
(fuse-utils)

Looks like /usr/share/doc/fuse-utils was a symlink in squeeze and is a
directory in wheezy.

fuse-utils.preinst should probably do something like

    test ! -L /usr/share/doc/fuse-utils || rm /usr/share/doc/fuse-utils

Please clean this up in wheezy (via t-p-u).

Cheers,

Andreas

not applicable to 2.9.2-2, thus closing (with version, thanks to bts
version tracking it will remain open for wheezy).
