since your last comment on this bug is about a month old, is there any
way we (a bunch of volunteers from the Debian Bug Squashing Party
currently taking place at the Linuxhotel in Essen, Germany) could help
getting this bug fixed and closed this weekend?
We could help out with NMU to the delayed queue with the proposed fix.
