Interesting - I never thought of it like that.

I like your approach, Colin, and will have it in mind for other 
packaging work.  Here specifically, however, I didn't do it, because 
package.json is about fetching source directly from upstream (similar to 
CPAN) and TTBOMK no upstream (i.e. registered in the NPM registry) 
behaves like Debian.
