Package: netcdf-bin Version: 1:4.1.3-6 Severity: grave Justification: renders package unusable
It appears that nccopy generates bogus (numerically, and structurally). If this is not patched locally to Debian, this should be pushed upstream. Resulting files appear to have all missing values for dimension variables, and data variables cannot even be read, giving an HDF error (from `ncdump`, and the file is unreadable in other NetCDF utilities as well): NetCDF: HDF error Location: file vardata.c; line 471 -- System Information: Debian Release: 6.0.4 APT prefers stable APT policy: (500, 'stable'), (1, 'experimental'), (1, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 3.2.0-3-amd64 (SMP w/16 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_CA.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_CA.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages netcdf-bin depends on: ii libc6 2.13-21 Embedded GNU C Library: Shared lib ii libcurl3-gnutls 7.24.0-1 easy-to-use client-side URL transf ii libhdf5-7 [libhdf5-7] 1.8.8-9 Hierarchical Data Format 5 (HDF5) ii libnetcdfc7 1:4.1.3-6 An interface for scientific data a ii zlib1g 1:1.2.6.dfsg-2 compression library - runtime netcdf-bin recommends no packages. netcdf-bin suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-rc-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
