I'm upstream and the debian maintainer for vblade-persist. the activity
is low because it works for the environments it's designed for.
#619065 is an attempt to make the program behave differently in a
different environment (i.e. one where the machine offers multiple vblade
storage devices with the same "slot and shelf", but on different interfaces.
I'm open for patches that would allow someone to use vblade-persist in
the context suggested, but i don't think this particular use case
warrants the current stated severity.
I'm reducing the severity of this bug to reflect the situation.
