I can reproduce this when using IrDA. My own repository now has the fix for this. You can find it at: http://www.stud.uni-karlsruhe.de/~ubq7/debian/ Note however, that you misuse obexftp: /dev/rfcomm0 is bluetooth which has it's own access method with option -b (and that works with the version currently in Debian).
