I only recently noticed the 304 drivers already migrated to Wheezy, so it's just as broken as Sid now (I had installed the sid drivers before migration already). Also I was not aware of your NMU unblock request, thanks for the pointer. I'm not insisting on an NMU if there's an alternative, I'd just be glad to prevent this regression from happening in Wheezy, and hope to help achieving that.
