with gcc 4.0 as the default compiler in sarge, this bug is now release-critical; do you think you'll have time to upload a fixed version soon? Would you prefer to have someone NMU it?
Huh? I was under the impression that the patch had long been applied (dimly remembering doing it, and there is an amd64 package that I don't remember building, so it must have been applied).
Since the package needs more attention anyway, I'm going to do a portability upload soonish (last time it failed on ARM).
