Not everyone has a radeon card, so that the bug is definitely not fixed (and for radeon, this is just a workaround, not a real fix). Users with a NVIDIA card and the nouveau driver (which uses EXA) are still affected by this bug: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=47266#c146 (I've not checked, as I'm still using libcairo2 1.10).
