When you say you're preparing it now, do you have an idea of when it'll
be uploaded?

The reason I ask is that dvi2ps is currently part of a transition to
libkpathsea6 (as part of texlive 2011) which is why I tried rebuilding
it and filed a bug in the first place.  Almost all of the other packages
involved have already been rebuilt and I was planning on looking at
whether we can get the affected packages (which also implies all of the
texlive packages afaics) migrated during next week.

Depending on the kind of timescales you were thinking of, it might be
worth considering letting the NMU stand so the migration can (hopefully)
be completed and then update to the new upstream when you're ready.
