Right... I do not think they will continue for four years — Version 5
was supported long after 6 was out (even some time with 7 declared
"stable"), but I cannot give you their policies clearly.

Right, there is no automated upgrade path. Their recomendation
is... Well, do it little by little, and good luck!

Now, if we are to kick Drupal6 out of Wheezy, sysadmins using it will
keep it as a local package, so their functionality will not break. We
should, yes, warn it's no longer supported. I don't have a clear
answer on what should be done, other than to update D6's description
inviting new users NOT to install it and to consider D7 instead.

Note that I'm not the Drupal maintainer - That's Luigi
Gangitano. Luigi, what's your opinion on this?
