Apparently the next version of spice will actually work in i386. This is JFYI, and actually I don't have more details on this, just, well, rumors. The "errors out on startup" bit was due to spice-related bugs in qemu, not spice itself. Retitling as such, and fixing severity. I wasn't able to apply the qemu-side fixes to 1.0 version easily, will try to do something with this for the next release of spice.
