Dear all, we (Christophe Trophime and I) were trying to fix the bug. Adding -fPIC to CFLAGS and CXXFLAGS partly fixes the problem, but it still fails to build on linking stage with the following message:
/usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-linux-gnu/4.6/../../../x86_64-linux-gnu/Scrt1.o: In function `_start': I would appreciate any advice, which can help to solve the problem. One more note. The last upload of gmsh to the archive was about a week ago. At that time the package built fine. What important changes were in build-infrastracture during the last week, which can lead to such problem? Thank you.
