This is still a problem, with builds getting only slightly further:

Could you please conditionalize *all* relevant commands:
if [ -d debian/makehuman-data ]; then \
find debian/makehuman-data -type d -empty -delete; \
find debian/makehuman-data/usr/share/makehuman/data/targets/ \
-type f | xargs chmod 0644; \
...
fi
... and check that debuild -B succeeds?
