Hello Andreas,

Is there a possibility that piuparts were fragile from some point of view?
... or I suspect that the version of piuparts you have run is not the same
as the version which I am able to download from Debian.

If you did not use piuparts, please can you tell which procedure you used
instead to find #656113 in the version 4.03a-4 of wims?

I just cannot reproduce this bug. When I launch "pbuilder login", and install
wims in the chroot with gdebi (after installing gdebi-core), everything
goes smoothly.

                        ---oOo---

On the other hand, I could not run piuparts with my computer, neither with:
# piuparts wims_4.03a-4_amd64.changes
nor with:
# piuparts --basetgz=/var/cache/pbuilder/sid-amd64-base.tgz
wims_4.03a-4_amd64.changes

I used piuparts version 0.43.

The error messages led me to change the temporary directory, since /tmp
is mounted as a "tmpfs" with the options nodev and noexec. So I added the
special parameter "--tmpdir=/home/georges/tmpdir". Then both invokations
of piuparts failed again, with error messages indicating that
http://security.debian.org/dists/sid/main/binary-amd64/Packages
could not be reached.

When I tried to invoke piuparts with the distribution wheezy, the error
message was:
"E: Failed getting release file http://security.debian.org/dists/wheezy/Release";

As a matter of fact, this URL is obsoleted. The file "Release" is currently
available at:
http://security.debian.org/dists/wheezy/updates/Release

------------

As a conclusion, I would like to ask you to check thouroughly that
wims is uninstallable with a simple script, or to give me some advice
so that I can use piuparts exactly as you did it.

Best regards, Georges.
