I downgraded all of the nvidia packages to 290 from the snapshots archive and it helps. The segfault at startup or when receiving new mail has gone away. There are still 2 issues.
1. Some of the time, a single click on a message in the list opens the message in a full screen window as if it had been double clicked. I can't figure out a pattern as to when this happens. It seems pretty random. 2. Deleting messages in the message list sometimes deletes the message selected and the next message.
