My report 660348 is reporting the same issue. For the moment, this
needs to remain at Grave as the breakage is due to a package version
upgrade and no debconf configuration was provided. I presume this to be
a bug and should properly block the update from reaching Testing.

I did see your bug-report, but I am not sure if it is the same issue as mine. But true at least the outcome is very similar. As your printer does use Postscript as well may indicate it is at least somewhat related. Maybe noteworthy your printer uses BR-Script, mine use KPDL, both vendor specific page description languages that claim to be Postscript compatible. So maybe not all Postscript printers fail, but some vendor specific implementations do? At least on some forums I have read about that issue with Brother and Kyocera printers.
