Hi Michael,

I think you know very well that xpdf is in very bad shape now.

I am not much technical help to resolve this very bad state of xpdf
package now. But just tagging this with "help" is not good way to get
this resolved. One way is to revert to older working version so user
have at least usable software.

I also understand that we all have life outside of Debian. Time is very
precious thing.

Have you contacted Rogério Brito who did help you to get previous
version going. He was more technically capable than me for sure.
(I was the DD who was the only one with uploading capability.)

Anyway, you know xpdf was introduced and you are the maintainer.

I think we need to keep what was requested when you took over this
package.

If you gave up on maintaining this, may be let's ask this to be taken
over by Rogério if he wishes or someone else.

Please let us know your thought on this package. I think cooperative
maintenance works best in this situation. Social skill of recruiting
helpful people and making them contribute is as important as we do
something as ourselves for Debian.

Regards,

Osamu
