for mysql-5.5 in experimental there's currently a discussion ongoing if mysql shall be replaced by MariaDB http://lists.alioth.debian.org/pipermail/pkg-mysql-maint/2012-February/003866.html I'm not sure about security policy in experimental but I'd suggest to wait for a descission.
