Hi, eclipse 3.7.1 fixes all FTBFS except on armel (and presumably also armhf). According to [1] eclipse cannot be build on arm at the moment due to lack of memory support for processes. Such support requires linux 3.3 (or some cherry-picks[2] by the kernel maintainers) and after that, it needs to be deployed on the buildds. Furthermore, the latest build on armel fails with an "Unimplemented opcode: 254 = <unknown>"[3]. In light of the above, I have decided to temporary request the removal of eclipse/armel until it is buildable again. I will keep #649912 open to track the eclipse/arm{el,hf} status. ~Niels [1] http://lists.debian.org/debian-java/2011/12/msg00083.html [2] http://lists.debian.org/debian-java/2011/12/msg00090.html [3] https://buildd.debian.org/status/fetch.php?pkg=eclipse&arch=armel&ver=3.7.1-1&stamp=1325368264 [java] checkCompilationResults: [java] [copy] Copying 1 file to /build/buildd-eclipse_3.7.1-1-armel-cskBRe/eclipse-3.7.1/build/eclipse-3.7.1-src/plugins/org.eclipse.core.variables/@dot [java] # [java] # A fatal error has been detected by the Java Runtime Environment: [java] # [java] # Internal Error (cppInterpreter_arm.S:2707), pid=21912, tid=1765799024 [java] # fatal error: *** Unimplemented opcode: 254 = <unknown> [java] [java] # [java] # JRE version: 6.0_24-b24 [java] # Java VM: OpenJDK Zero VM (20.0-b12 mixed mode linux-arm ) [java] # Derivative: IcedTea6 1.11pre [java] # Distribution: Debian GNU/Linux unstable (sid), package 6b24~pre2-1 [java] # An error report file with more information is saved as: [java] # /build/buildd-eclipse_3.7.1-1-armel-cskBRe/eclipse-3.7.1/hs_err_pid21912.log [java] # [java] # If you would like to submit a bug report, please include [java] # instructions how to reproduce the bug and visit: [java] # http://icedtea.classpath.org/bugzilla [java] # -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-rc-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
