Perhaps you should add the directory containing `hal.pc' to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable Package 'hal', required by 'hal-storage', not found cc -c -g -Wall -O2 pmount-hal.c pmount-hal.c:20:28: error: libhal-storage.h: No such file or directory libhal-storage-dev should have a Depends on libhal-dev.
