Package: vice Version: 2.3.dfsg-2 Severity: grave Justification: renders package unusable
When installing the vice package on Debian Testing (Wheezy) I receive an "Illegal Instruction" error on startup of any of its executables. It appears the software has been compiled the software for a higher CPU (breaking backward capatibility). I have a Pentium III (Coppermine) CPU with MMX and SSE on a Dell Optiplex GX110. *** End of the template - remove these lines *** -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 3.1.0-1-686-pae (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages vice depends on: ii dpkg 1.16.1.2 ii install-info 4.13a.dfsg.1-8 ii libasound2 1.0.24.1-4 ii libatk1.0-0 2.2.0-2 ii libc6 2.13-21 ii libcairo2 1.10.2-6.1 ii libfontconfig1 2.8.0-3 ii libfreetype6 2.4.8-1 ii libgcc1 1:4.6.2-5 ii libgdk-pixbuf2.0-0 2.24.0-1 ii libglib2.0-0 2.30.2-4 ii libgtk2.0-0 2.24.8-2 ii libieee1284-3 0.2.11-10 ii libjpeg8 8c-2 ii libpango1.0-0 1.29.4-2 ii libpcap0.8 1.1.1-10 ii libpng12-0 1.2.46-3 ii libreadline6 6.2-8 ii libstdc++6 4.6.2-5 ii libx11-6 2:1.4.4-4 ii libxrandr2 2:1.3.2-2 ii libxxf86vm1 1:1.1.1-2 ii zlib1g 1:1.2.3.4.dfsg-3 vice recommends no packages. vice suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-rc-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
