I have setup a virtualbox machine downgraded apache and then run the upgrades with the normal cron daily launched from /etc/crontab without any positive results, I'm thinking about downgrading one of the real machines that got hanged and see if it happens with just the apache upgrade or if we need to downgrade more stuff that could be playing some role here.
