When restarting my server, bind9's init script got into a loop where it
complained "waiting for process <pid> to die". Fortunately, I was
present for the restart and could look at the console to figure out why
it was not restarting properly. Since Ctrl-C and Ctrl-\ did not work, I
was forced to simply press the reset button.
If the process doesn't die after, say, 10 seconds, you should probably
either try to kill it again, or failing that, just let killall5 take
care of it. Preventing an otherwise-successful restart by looping for a
process that is going to die anyway does not seem like a good idea.
