I should have reported this in May when I did the Lenny-> Squeeze upgrade. I couldn't get Uw-imapd working at all after the dist-upgrade, despite it having worked relatively trouble-free for many years through a few Debian releases. As I was fighting other fires at the time following the dist-upgrade of a complex email setup, I replaced the functionality using Dovecot . In my view unless maintained upstream and within Debian, uw-imapd should be removed from Debian as obsolete.
